Assistantships

Admission into the Master’s of Biology program carries no guarantee of financial support. Need-based tuition assistance determined by FASFA filings may be made by the Graduate School. Non-thesis Master's students are typically not eligible for teaching or research assistantships.  In some limited cases, an assistantship may be provided on a semester by semester basis with no continued support guananteed. Students who switch from the thesis-based Master's program to the non-thesis Master's program will lose their assistantship beginning in the next semester unless additional funds become available. Students are encouraged to speak with their major advisor and Graduate Coordinator before making such changes.
