The areas that are card access are:

1st floor

• Loading dock doors.
• Double doors leading from the classroom areas in & out of the loading dock hallway.
• Stairwell door leading in/out of the hallway beside the loading dock doors.

3rd floor

• Double doors leading from the CCI side of the building in & out of the research hallway.
• Double doors leading from the Biology faculty/staff offices in & out of the research hallway.
• Biology Stockroom.

4th floor

• Double doors leading from the CCI side of the building in & out of the research hallway.
• Double doors leading from the Biology faculty/staff offices in & out of the research hallway.

Other

• Exterior doors to the building on 1st & 2nd floors after hours (minus loading dock).
• Elevator (to access 1st floor only)

Policy for Card Access:

• Card access to the Woodward building, Biology doors, and Biology hallways is to be used for UNC Charlotte business only.
• Card access is for individual use only.
• ID cards should not be transferred.
• Card access will be automatically terminated for employees and students when they leave the Department and/or the University.
• Student access will automatically expire at the end of each semester (Spring, Summer, & Fall) and will have to be renewed. An email will be sent to supervisors one month prior to expiration for approval to extend access by one semester.
• Undergraduate access will be restricted to 3rd & 4th floor research hallways only! Additional access will require an email from the undergrads supervisor with justification for the additional area(s).
• All access, other than faculty/staff, will required a start and end date and supervisor approval.

The above card access policies are subject to change at the discretion of the Departmental Chair. Users will be notified in advance of any policy changes. Failure to comply with the above terms will result in termination of card access to Woodward as well as all individual doors and hallway access.
