Research Interests:

Dr. Saha's research interests are in the area of sepsis and septic shock, especially in sepsis immunology. Currently, he is working to develop a drug for the prevention and cure of sepsis for which he as obtained a patent as well as another patent pending.Dr. Saha found that BisEDT (bismuth ethanidithiol) works as an immunomodulator in a mouse model of sepsis and septic shock and improves survival after septic shock has developed.
